Eaves Has Headaches Every Day
Forward Patrick Eaves continues to skate lightly before practice, without equipment, but has no idea when he'll return to action, as he copes with headaches and concussion-like symptoms daily. He had surgery on Nov. 28, two days after suffering a broken jaw when he was hit in the ear by a shot from Nashville's Roman Josi. The jaw is healed, but the concussion lingers. "Symptoms kind of come and go, it's a slow process," Eaves said. "I have (a headache) every day and it just depends how bad it is." He isn't sure whether he'll be able to return this season.
