Forward Patrick Eaves continues to skate lightly before practice, without equipment, but has no idea when he’ll return to action, as he copes with headaches and concussion-like symptoms daily. He had surgery on Nov. 28, two days after suffering a broken jaw when he was hit in the ear by a shot from Nashville’s Roman Josi. The jaw is healed, but the concussion lingers. “Symptoms kind of come and go, it’s a slow process,” Eaves said. “I have (a headache) every day and it just depends how bad it is.” He isn’t sure whether he’ll be able to return this season.
