Local Woman's Song To Be Featured On 'The Voice'

HAMBURG TWP. (WWJ) - You might not hear her voice this year on the television singing competition "The Voice," but you'll hear a Hamburg Township woman's music.

When Angela Predhomme strums her guitar, you know you're talking with a hit maker. And if you watch this season of "The Voice,"  you'll hear her songwriting talents.

"It's really special to me because I, you know, this didn't come through any kind of personal connection. I don't even know, really, the people that sent it. They have my music with thousands and thousands of other songs from around the world, you know, and they chose mine," Predhomme told WWJ's Kathryn Larson.

Predhomme said she's not sure which of her songs will play, but one titled "This Might Be Good" has already achieved some international fame.

"That is featured as the credits roll in a British film called 'A Wedding Most Strange' that was released last year," she said.

Predhomme isn't a one hit wonder either. She said you may also know her songs from E!'s Keeping up with the Kardashians to shows on Vh1.

Predhomme said the creative process could happen any time, anywhere, and that's why she always carries a notebook and pencil -- that way, she can erase, re-edit and revise to make the song as good as it's going to get.

"For every line I probably have two or three alternate lines and different words and then, you know, I finally come to 'Well, what's the best,' and then I sleep on it and come back to it and try different rhymes and try different things," she said.

Predhomme said you can expect to hear one of her songs filled with lots of highs and lows, and she's excited to see how it turns out.

"You know, there's a lot of really good singers out there so I would imagine the ones that have made it to The Voice aren't going to have any problem," she said.

And if you'd like to hear Predhomme for yourself, on Saturday she'll be n Plymouth performing at the Coffee Bean at 8 p.m.

You can get more information about Predhomme on her website, www.angelapredhomme.com.
