DETROIT (WWJ) - Know before you go! No one wants to get stuck in traffic because they run into a construction project. Avoid the routes below and make the most of your weekend.

The following projects were announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.

I-696:

In Macomb County, the left lane of westbound and the right lane of eastbound I-696 will be closed at Van Dyke from 5 a.m. Saturday until 8 p.m. Sunday for sign work. During the same time frame, the northbound and southbound Mound Road ramps to I-696 will be closed.

 I-94:

In Detroit, the westbound I-94 exit ramp to Gratiot Ave. will be closed from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday for freeway lighting work.

 I-75:

In Wayne County, beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, Feb 27, the right lane of northbound and southbound I-75 will be closed at Dix-Toledo Road for bridge work. The right lanes will remain closed until November as crews work this summer to construct a new overpass and rebuild one mile of I-75 between King and Sibley roads.
