14-Year-Old Suspected Of Shooting Mother To Death

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) A 36-year-old Detroit woman has been shot and killed — and reports say her 14-year-old son is in custody.

The victim, identified by officials as Tamiko Robinson, was shot several times. Robinson was found in her home on Burns Street — near Gratiot and Van Dyke.  According to reports, the 14-year-old tried to run from the scene but was later arrested by police.  He was reportedly driving his mother’s car.

The Detroit Free Press is reporting the teen shot his mother while she slept because he was upset she wouldn’t let him hang out with friends.
