Belleville Fleet Tracking Firm Enters Law Enforcement Market

BELLEVILLE -- Safety Track of Michigan has spent the last 10 years building technology that helps fleet owners keep track of vehicles.

Now, the woman-owned company is branching out into law enforcement, helping police agencies and courts keep track of parolees, low-risk offenders, and defendants out on bond.

Safety Track says its new ST-911 Law Enforcement Bracelet offers improved monitoring.

The bracelet features a responsive alert and notification system that can e-mail, text, or provides a system alert to parole officers when boundaries are crossed; the locking mechanism is tampered with, the SOS button is triggered, and several other additional alerts.

Using integrated cellular technology, the bracelet also serves as a two way communication device that can establish a phone call between the parole officer and parolee.

Safety Track was established in 2002 to help businesses maintain control of fleet vehicles through the use of GPS Tracking technology and in-vehicle cameras.
