Bomb Scare On Detroit’s West Side

DETROIT (WWJ) – The Detroit police bomb squad was called Thursday after man found a military mortar in a storage trunk  on the city’s west side.

It happened shortly after 11 a.m. at a home on Grandville Street.

The bomb squad removed the device and detonated it in a secure location. There were no injuries.

No charges were expected.
