GROSSE POINTE PARK (WWJ) – Grosse Pointe Park Tuesday served a search warrant at the home of a woman who has been linked to Bob Bashara, named a person of interest in the murder of his wife, Jane.

According to sources, Rachel Gillett has been questioned by police about her relationship with Bob Bashara. It’s believed the two were having an affair.

Investigators reportedly removed several bags of evidence removed from the Mack Ave. bungalow where Gillett lives in a flat on the upper floor. Tuesday’s search of the home lasted about three hours.

Bob Bashara denies he had a romantic relationship with Gillett. But sources talking to WWJ Newsradio 950’s Marie Osborne say Jane Bashara was murdered a short time after she learned of an affair between the two.

The 56-year-old mother one two was found strangled in her SUV in a Detroit alley in January. Joseph Gentz, the family’s former handyman, was charged on Monday with first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
