Stuart To Visit Vandenburg World Cultures Academy In Southfield On March 8th

Detroit, MI… Detroit Red Wings defenseman Brad Stuart will visit Vandenberg World Cultures Academy in Southfield at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, to read to a class of kindergartners, ages five through six, as part of National Reading Month.

Stuart will read Brady Brady and the Great Exchange by Mary Shaw and Chuck Temple to a class of 30 kindergarten students. After a brief Q&A session with the students, Stuart will present a set of Brady Brady children's hockey books and The ABC's of Detroit Red Wings Hockey books for the school's library to use.

The Red Wings kicked off National Reading Month on March 1, hosting 55 fifth graders from Hiller Elementary School at Joe Louis Arena for Ken Kal's Reading Party, and have two player appearances as celebrity readers at area elementary schools planned for March.
