Woman Killed In Pinckney School Bus Crash
HAMBURG TWP. (WWJ) - Counselors will be on hand Friday morning at three schools in Pinckney following a deadly crash involving a school bus and an SUV.
No students were injured in the accident, but the driver of the SUV, who was the mother of three Pinckney students, died from her injuries.
It happened at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday along M-36 at McGregor near Pathfinder School in Livingston County.
The parents of the 19 students who were on board the bus were contacted by the district. Pinckney Community Schools Superintendent Dan Danosky said most were released to their parents at the scene of the accident.
The bus driver was transported to the hospital for observation.
M-36 was closed following the crash but has since reopened. Police are investigating.
No names have been released.
