Construction Worker Dead After Being Struck By Car

ST. CLAIR SHORES (WWJ) - A construction worker is dead after being hit by a car on I-94 near 12 mile in St. Clair Shores.

Earlier in the day WWJ reported that a construction worker, Justin Vallad, had been injured in the accident, it has been confirmed by police that Vallad died from his injuries.

The accident happened Saturday morning when witnesses say an SUV that was rear ended by a truck hit 26-year-old Vallad of Standish.

Police say two passengers in the SUV were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
