Local Mayor Likes To Get There First

WARREN (WWJ) - One local mayor appears to have a lead foot when driving around town.

The Macomb Daily reports that Warren Mayor Jim Fouts has been stopped for exceeding a posted speed limit for the third time in three years.

Court records show he was driving 45 mph in a 30 mph zone on March 3rd in Royal Oak.

Fouts was ticketed for "blockading traffic," which came with a $175 fine, but no points on his driver's license.

Secretary of State records show Fouts was ticketed in 2010 for driving 75 mph in a 70 mph zone in Troy, and was pulled over in 2009 for going 45 in a 40 mph zone.
