The Detroit Tigers today announced the club has reassigned catchers Rob Brantly, Curt Casali, Patrick Leyland and James McCann, infielder Nick Castellanos and infielder/outfielder Justin Henry to minor league camp.

Infielder Hernan Perez and outfielder Avisail Garcia have been advised by the club that their contracts will be optioned to the minor leagues on March 15. Garcia’s contract will be optioned to Double A Erie on Thursday, while Perez will have his contract optioned to Single A Lakeland.

The Tigers today also unconditionally released righthanded pitcher David Pauley.

Additionally, the Tigers today have placed catcher/designated hitter Victor Martinez on the 60-day disabled list following surgery on his left knee on January 27.

Following the roster moves by the Tigers, 48 players will remain in major league camp.
