Woman Pulled From Detroit River
DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - A 46-year old woman is now safe, after being rescued from the Detroit River near Belle Isle.
A boat from the Coast Guard's station on the island park responded after a 911 dispatcher notified them about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday that a woman was in the water. She was found after a few minutes of searching and taken to a hospital for treatment of hypothermia.
The Coast Guard says the water temperature was about 36 degrees at the time.
She was taken to a hospital for treatment for hypothermia. The Coast Guard said it's not clear how the woman wound up in the river.
Her name hasn't been released.
