HOLLYWOOD (WWJ) – New in theaters this weekend: 21 Jump Street, based on the television series of the same name, that ran for five seasons.

If you’re planning to check it out, you may be interested in knowing that the film version of 21 Jump Street is nothing like the TV show that fans grew to know and love. The big-screen version is a comedy starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill.

“The movie is about two friends — Schmidt and Jenko — two guys that went to high school together the first time who didn’t really get along,” Hill said. “Jenko was kind of a dumb bully, and I was kind of like a nerdier, uh, nerd, the first time in high school.”

In addition to Hill and Tatum, this updated version stars Ice Cube as Captain Dickson — and Dave Franco in the role of Eric, the high school drug dealer.

Fans of the small-screen version may remember it starred Holly Robinson Peete and Johnny Depp in his first major role.

21 Jump Street is number one in theaters this weekend, bringing in an estimated $35 million.

hello, first i am sorry about your friend who was shot, pselae pass on my well wishes for him to his family and him from me.i have just recently been discharged from the army after 10 1/2 years of infantry service, and need to renew my CPL i know all i have to do is sign on my renewal to affirm that i have reviewed the law and spent a few hours at a range, but all of my practical knowledge is military related. i have not needed to conceal my sidearm, exept for the limited times when i was off post or doing things not military related, so i believe that i am lacking some practical knowledge. i was wondering if you had an advanced or some other type of class that would cover drawing from concealment or any other hints or tips that i might be able to pick up.
