Tigers 11, Nationals 7

VIERA, FLA. (WWJ) - A five-run fifth inning helped the Detroit Tigers beat the Washington Nationals 11-7 on Sunday during Grapefruit League play.

Doug Fister gets the win pitching four innings, allowing five hits and three runs and striking out seven.

Miguel Cabrera had three of the teams' 15 hits, Andy Dirks and Clete Thomas each had two hits and Thomas connected for a solo home run in the seventh inning.

The win for the Tigers extends their exhibition win streak to nine games.

Edwin Jackson was the losing pitcher for the Nationals.
