Police Seek Man In Women's Pantyhose

ROCHESTER HILLS (WWJ) - Officials are looking for a man who has been appearing around the area asking for a bikini wax while wearing women's pantyhose.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Department reports the man (seen in the security camera image at left) has been spotted three times in Rochester Hills, three times in Canton Township in Wayne County, and once each in Auburn Hills, Bloomfield Township, Chesterfield Twp. in Macomb County and West Bloomfield Township.

In the latest incident, last Tuesday in Rochester Hills, officials said he entered"Salon Bliss" in the shopping center near Rochester and Avon roads.

Nina Maniachi, a stylist at the salon, says she was there when he walked in last week.

He was wearing a blue tee-shirt inside-out and backwards, with a big old tag out under his adams apple, and a backwards hat, and he was wearing black sheer panty hose with nothing underneath. He was totally exposed and you could see everything," said Maniachi.

"He kind of came over to the other side of the desk, where I was standing, asking about body waxing, what other kind of services we do, and if we do tanning. He was looking to get a spray tan, he just seemed really, really creepy," said Maniachi.

The man was also described wearing a grey long sleeve button up shirt that was open over and inside-out blue t-shirt and women's sheer pantyhose, bluish in color, with nothing  underneath.

He was  wearing a baseball hat on backwards, slippers on his feet and glasses. Officials said the man walked to both sides of the counter, so that everyone could clearly see him.

He asked about having a "Brazilian wax" done, as he had during a previous incident.  He was in the store for only about a minute.

The man is described as a white male, approximately in his 50's, 6'0" tall, with a heavy upper build, a "pot belly" and skinny legs.

He's wanted on indecent exposure charges.

Anyone who might know who this man is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP. A cash reward is being offered for tips leading to an arrest in the case.
