ROSEVILLE, Mich. (AP) – Authorities say a 55-year-old Detroit area woman who wrecked her car while involved in a road rage incident with her husband might have died of a heart condition, not injuries from the crash.
Roseville police on Tuesday said preliminary autopsy findings showed the woman suffered a cardiac event before Monday’s crash.
The couple had been yelling at each other from separate vehicles when he tried to cut her off in a neighborhood north of Detroit, forcing the car she was driving into a telephone pole guide wire.
Police said they were arguing over “typical marital issues.”
The Macomb Daily in Mount Clemens reports the wife initially confronted her husband and followed his minivan when he drove off.
Her 44-year-old husband was arrested Monday and later released pending the police investigation.
