At 10 a.m. Saturday, tickets go on sale for KISS paired with Motley Crue -- which will mark the first time KISS and Mötley Crüe will share a stage since 1982.

Money will kick off the DTE Energy Music Theatre's 2012 summer concert season -- per tradition -- with a 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 25, show. He plans to bring his biggest hits, including "Baby Hold On" and "Two Tickets To Paradise."

"I love playing outside in the summertime," says Barenaked Ladies vocalist/guitarist Ed Robertson. "To travel and hang around with a bunch of bands, and get a chance to do some collaboration is part of the magic of a summer tour."

It's been a busy couple of weeks for the Barenaked Ladies, who recently announced that they'll be composing an original score for "Animal House: The Musical," a theatrical production based on the popular 1978 comedy.

In addition, May 8 sees the group releasing their long-awaited rarities album "Stop Us If You've Heard This One Before!" The album features 12 rare and previously unreleased tracks including demos, b-sides, remixes, and live recordings from 1994 to 2003.

To cap off the summer, KISS and Motley Crue will visit at 7 p.m. Sept. 5 to bring Detroit the "biggest, baddest rock tour of the summer."

Tickets are $90.50 and $50.50 pavilion, and $36 lawn (including a limited number of lawn tickets at just $16), or a limited number of lawn ticket four-packs at $108. With combined album sales of almost 200 million, KISS and Mötley Crüe are more than just iconic; they remain today as the dominant powerhouses of rock music tallying 30+ chart-topping hits, countless sold out tours and awards and accolades from around the world. Known for their elaborate and spectacular stage shows, each band plans to give fans the ultimate summer concert experience with the most impressive lighting and sound production ever and their signature over-the-top pyrotechnics.

KISS has broken box office records set by The Beatles and Elvis. Mötley Crüe is the first rock band in history to have just completed an epic sold-out Las Vegas residency at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The band is best known for continuing to reinvent not only their live show (with mind blowing elements such as Tommy Lee's 360 drum roller coaster) and music (brand new song due out this spring), but remain on the cutting edge via social media interaction.

As one of America's top gold-record champions, KISS has released 44 albums and sold more than 90 million albums worldwide.
