Police Search For Woman Who Allegedly Tried To Kill Husband

DETROIT (WWJ) – Detroit Police are looking for a woman they think tried to kill her husband.

Police say 27-year-old Twana Matthews drove to a home on Birwood Street on the city’s west side over the weekend to confront her husband about another woman. During the argument, Matthews allegedly shot the 37-year-old man before fleeing the scene. He was last listed in critical condition.

Detroit Police have issued a six count felony warrant for Matthews, and are asking the public for help in tracking her down.

If you have any information about Mathews’ whereabouts, contact the Detroit Police Department’s Domestic Violence unit at 313-237-2579 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
