GRAND RAPIDS — Women in Defense, the organization designed to connect women in the defense industry, is forming a West Michigan chapter that will kick off with an organizational meeting Thursday, April 19.
The event will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Noto’s Old World Italian Dining, 6600 28th St. SE, Grand Rapids. Registration is $45 and includes dinner.
The keynote speaker is Maj. Gen. Amy Courter, president of WID-Michigan, who will offer an overview of WID-Michigan’s mission, the programs it supports and an industry insider’s view of west Michigan’s defense sector.
