Police: ‘Suspicious Package’ Made To Look Like Bomb

BLOOMFIELD TWP. (WWJ) – Bloomfield Township police say a suspicious package in a parking lot that shut down portions of Telegraph and Square Lake roads turned out to be a false alarm.

Officials told WWJ Newsradio 950 a bomb unit was called to investigate the package, found in the lot along Telegraph Road earlier Monday morning. It was determined the package did not contain an explosive device but was designed to look like one.

No arrests have been made, but police are looking for the person or persons responsible.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Bloomfield Township police at (248) 433-7755.
