Police: Drive-By Shooting Result Of 'Love Triangle'
ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - A Roseville couple is facing criminal charges related to a drive-by shooting that police say stemmed from a love triangle.
Police investigators claim 26-year-old David Cote fired 10 shots into a home on Flanagan Street last Friday in a "jealous rage" because he thought his wife of four years was having an affair with the homeowner.
While Cote is charged with assault with intent to murder, his wife, 23-year-old Megan Cote, is charged with trying to help him cover up the crime by lying to investigators and helping dispose of the evidence.
Both were arraigned Tuesday before Judge Santia in 39th District Court where bond was set at $500,000 for David Cote and $50,000 for his wife. Both are lodged at the Macomb County Jail.
A preliminary exam date was set for April 4.
