Three Players The Lions Should Consider Selecting In The Upcoming NFL Draft

By: Pat Caputo

1. Josh Robinson, cornerback Central Florida – Ripped through the 40-yard dash in a combine best 4.33 seconds. Productive college player, who was a recruited heavily by Michigan out of high school.
2. Benard Pierce, running back, Temple – Good size (220 pounds) and speed (sub 4.5 40 at combine) combination. Very productive college player.
3. Dwight “Bill” Bentley, cornerback, Louisiana Lafayette – Excellent speed, capable in man-to-man to coverage. Showed well at Senior Bowl.

I like Josh Robinson and the best RB they can possibly get. We cannot go into 2012 w/2 very injury prone backs (Best, Smith) and 1 coming off a serious surgery (LeShoure).

    My 3:
    Cordy Glenn-OT
    Ben Johnson-C
    LaMichael James-RB

It all begins and ends w/the running game. It keeps the QB healthy and the defense rested. Proof in 2011 5-0 w/Best and 5-6 w/o him.

what is the status of Lashoure? If he is healthy we might not need to draft a big running back. I’d rather have a future starting offensive tackle
