Altair’s PBS Professional Honored With Two Telly Awards for Visual Campaign Production: Troy-based Altair Engineering, a provider of simulation and advanced computing software, has received two bronze Telly Awards in recognition for its visual campaign production of a promotional video highlighting its high-performance computing workload management software, PBS Professional. The video includes interviews with key executives from PBS Works as well as testimonials from PBS Professional users. The video was produced in partnership with Birmingham-based Communicore Visual Communications. PBS Works optimizes workload scheduling and management of complex jobs in high-performance computing to ensure that technologies are being used to their greatest efficiency. It enables organizations to maximize efficient use of their computing resources and to initiate HPC jobs rapidly, thereby improving their overall productivity and return on investment. The Telly Awards were founded in 1978 and are the premier awards honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films. Winners represent the best work of respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments worldwide. This year’s Telly Awards received and evaluated nearly 11,000 entries from across the country. A prestigious judging panel of more than 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. The Silver Council evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work. Only 25 percent of entries are chosen as Bronze Telly winners.
