Anti-black Slur Sprayed On Michigan Trailer Home

OTSEGO TOWNSHIP (AP) - Authorities in southwestern Michigan say they're investigating apparent anti-black vandalism targeting a woman and her children living in a trailer park.

The Allegan County sheriff's department says the latest incident happened Wednesday at Watson Trailer Park in Otsego Township, about 35 miles south of Grand Rapids.

The department says the woman found a racial slur and the word "leave" spray painted on the outside of her home near the front door.

It says the woman also found that someone let the air out of the tires of her vehicle about a week ago but didn't report it to authorities at the time.

The department says the family moved into the home about four weeks ago. It says the reports are being treated as a case of ethnic intimidation.
