Ericsson's Return Fills Out Blue Line

--The Red Wings' defense is complete again after Jonathan Ericsson returned to the lineup Wednesday. He had missed 13 games with a chip fracture in his left wrist. He has been skating for more than three weeks, so conditioning isn't an issue, but he expects his timing will be off for a few games. The Wings need the big, stay-at-home defender, especially on the penalty kill. Ericsson played 16:09 on Wednesday against Columbus, and he blocked one shot.

--After struggling the first half of the season, Henrik Zetterberg has regained his dominant form at both ends of the ice. Zetterberg has 32 points (13 goals, 19 assists) in the past 24 games after picking up only 35 points (nine goals, 26 assists) in his first 53 games. He has recovered from a bothersome ankle injury that was limiting his mobility, and he is now skating as well as he has all season. That's enabled him to control the puck, which makes him so effective.
