With tonight’s Mega Millions jackpot at a whopping $540 million and the lump sum payout being roughly $270 million I have to ask the question: Would you rather win the lump sum or switch places with Prince Fielder for the remainder of his contract? Fielder is slated to make $214 million over the next nine seasons. Being Prince you would have all the fame, play in the MLB, travel for free and get all the luxury he gets in his contract. I know I would choose to switch places with Prince. I have always dreamed what it would be like to play a professional sport and it would be a dream to play for my favorite team of all time — the Detroit Tigers. As I write this, I think about how awesome it would be to have a World Series ring and all that fame. I know if I won the Mega Millions I would be rich and I could buy season tickets right behind home plate if I wanted but I don’t get to play. When it comes down to it, I still choose the life that Prince has. Now it’s up to you. What would you choose?
