Many people were scratching their heads after hearing the choice for the national anthem performance before the Kansas-Kentucky title game Monday night. The Fray? What was the connection for that Denver band? Even if you didn’t know their name, you probably have heard their songs (“Over My Head”, “How to Save a Life”) used for commercials and episodes of TV shows like “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Scrubs”. The problem was that they tried to make the national anthem sound like a deep track on one of their albums and the results were mixed.
