SHERWOOD TWP. (WWJ/AP) – Police say a person has died in a four-wheeler accident in southern Michigan.

The Branch County sheriff’s office said in a statement that the unidentified male driver flipped the vehicle behind a residence in Sherwood Township.

Authorities were notified of the accident shortly after midnight early Saturday.

Despite the efforts of deputies and paramedics, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing.

    These vehicles are very unstable in high speed turning maneuvers (CG induced roll moments) They suffer from the same accident causes of high CG SUVs.

    Drivers need to better understand vehicle dynamics. All of this can be easily modeled and simulated for online website access providing user access limitations of their vehicle’s performance. Driver’s can be learning how their vehicle operates while saving their lives and the lives of others. The technology is available but nobody is creating an “app”.
