DETROIT (WWJ) – After a 2-year investigation, the federal government has concluded that the Ford E-series van is is safe.
The automaker received more than 1,000 complaints about over-heated switches. But the feds determined that Ford did plenty on its own – including re-designing the switches, and letting dealers know about the problem.
Ford says the switches have performed well during more than 128-billion miles of driving.
