Clean Energy Coalition Gives Business Info On Cutting Energy Costs: Business owners across the state are tackling energy efficiency projects with their buildings and vehicles to reduce energy use and improve their bottom line. These investments yield big savings on energy bills, but many are sitting on the sidelines because they don't know where to start. Join Clean Energy Coalition and industry experts to learn how you can get started and improve your bottom line. Commercial building owners, business owners and operators, municipal leaders, and contractors are invited to join Clean Energy Coalition for an April 12 workshop. Our panel of energy efficiency experts will provide an overview of how to reduce energy use in buildings and vehicles; review tangible project examples; and ouline incentive, grant, and financing opportunites to make your project a reality. Lawrence Tech offers workshop for nonprofit board members: "Strategic Partnering," the seventh in the BoardWalk series of eight training workshops for nonprofit board members, will be held Friday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Buell Management Building at Lawrence Technological University, 21000 West 10 Mile, Southfield.  BoardWalk is a series of affordable workshops designed to energize the performance of nonprofit board members and the staff that work with them. Workshops are conducted by experienced professionals in classes small enough to ensure individual attention. BoardWalk is offered through a partnership of the United Way for Southeastern Michigan, Detroit Executive Service Corps and Lawrence Tech's Center for Nonprofit Management. The cost is $35.
