DETROIT (97.1 The Ticket) Enough is enough. It’s time to be a true Lions fan and vote Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers past Calvin Johnson in the final four of the Madden 13 cover contest. Now it’s down to the final four: A-Rod, Calvin, Cam Newton and Patrick Willis. The time has come to show Lions nation you want the curse in the NFC North — just not with the Lions.

I want every fan to vote HERE for Aaron Rodgers. I don’t want to have to remind you of the Madden curse but I took some time to document all the injuries that have hit the player after they graced the cover of Madden. What good is there to have Calvin on the cover?

Sure it would be really cool to see the Lions get the national attention. Calvin would get to do all kinds of interviews on ESPN to promote the game. Then the questions from the local media will be thrown towards Jim Schwartz about the Madden curse and you know the answer that will follow. “We will worry about his play on the field.”

Please do the Lions and Calvin Johnson a favor and vote A-Rod. He needs to knock off Calvin and get the cover so the Packers season goes downhill, and downhill fast.
