The Boss

Live on stage at the Palace of Auburn Hills at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will appear. The tour will be without his saxophone player Clarence Clemons, who died last summer, but we hear the show includes a moving homage to Clemons, one of The Boss’ longtime collaborators.  Tickets start at $35.

Gym Class Heroes

If your heart is a stereo, then this is where you want to be Thursday night: Gym Class Heroes take the stage at 7 p.m. at Meadowbrook. Pavilion seats are still available for $25.

Beauty And The Beast

Live on stage at the Fisher Theatre, now through April 22, is the smash Broadway musical “Beauty and the Beast.” Get tickets and showtime information at EncoreMichigan.com. Stub Hub also has some tickets available for performances this weekend, starting as low as $25. Word is it’s quite the spectacular show, and appropriate for all ages. Read our review of the show from Encore Michigan here. Hint: It’s a rave!

Orchestra Hall

There are some great concerts this weekend at Orchestra Hall, including “Viva Italia,” a show featuring Italian classics, with tributes to Mario Lanza, Pavarotti, Sinatra and Frankie Valli. Something that may surprise? It also features music from “The Godfather.” Shows happen Friday morning at 10:45; Saturday night at 8 p.m.; and Sunday at 3 p.m. Prices start at $19. Get tickets here.

Sports

The Pistons take on the Milwaukee Bucks at the Palace of Auburn Hills Friday night. And even if you’re not into the game, check this out: The halftime show will feature Chubby Checker.

Nickelback

Nickelback is live on stage at 6 p.m. Saturday at Joe Louis Arena for the first time since their Thanksgiving Day appearance at the Detroit Lions game. Floor seats are going for $150 on Stub Hub, with seats farther away starting at $65. Check for tickets here.

Harlem Globetrotters

The Harlem Globetrotters bring their world tour to town on Sunday. Catch them at The Palace of Auburn Hills at 1 p.m., with tickets starting at $17.
