DETROIT (AP) – The EPA is set to award $20 million in grants this year to benefit the Great Lakes.

The government agency recently made a call for applications for the money, which will come from the Obama administration’s Great Lakes Restoration Initiative.

The projects will focus on issues such as invasive species, toxic pollution and runoff from farms and cities.

Applications for the grants are due by May 24.
