Plans Moving Forward For Light Rail System In Detroit
DETROIT (WWJ) - If they build it, will people ride it?
WWJ's Mike Campbell reports on the plans that are moving forward for a light rail system in Detroit.
The light rail system, really an electric rail car, would run from Grand Blvd. to Congress and from New Center to downtown Detroit.
Fred McClellen owns Praise Him Beauty Parlor and Nail Salon in the New Center area:
"If it's good for the community, I think it's going to be good for me. It should (bring more business) yeah," said McClellan.
Some question the need for another limited service, light rail system, that doesn't go out as far as the suburbs.
