Lutz To Speak At Lawrence Tech: Bob Lutz, a former top executive at the Ford, Chrysler and GM, will speak about his personal experiences in the auto industry and his book, "Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business," Thursday, April 26 at 7 p.m. at Lawrence Technological University, 21000 W.10 Mile Road, Southfield. The speech will take place in Room A200, the auditorium of the Architecture Building auditorium. Attendees should use the left entrance to the University Technology and Learning Center (UTLC) across from Parking Lot A. Bob Lutz is perhaps unique in holding top-level management positions at the Big Three and BMW. He was head of global product development under Lee Iacocca at Chrysler and an executive vice president at Ford. He held several top-level positions at GM, including vice chairman for global product development, and championed many popular models. He is now head of Lutz Communications. The event is free and open to the public.

Regional Recruiting Event Coming To Lansing: The "Greater Lansing Journey to Jobs," a regional recruiting event, will be held Thursday, April 26 at the Lansing Center, Ballrooms 1-8, 333 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. There will be an employer panel from 1 to 2 p.m. and a career fair from 2 to 4 p.m. Capital Area Michigan Works, LEAP Inc., Michigan State University and Lansing Community College have collaborated to bring Journey to Jobs to the area, featuring more than 400 job seekers and more than 45 local, hiring employers.
