Police Find Fetus In Toilet At Pontiac Home

PONTIAC (WWJ) – Police responding to a home in Pontiac say they found a small fetus in the toilet with the umbilical cord still attached.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to assist fire officials at the scene of a medical emergency at home on Hughes, near Motor street, around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

When officers arrived, a 24-year-old woman at the home told them she didn’t know she was pregnant. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The Oakland County Medical Examiner was also notified.

Detectives say an investigation is ongoing. It wasn’t immediately clear if the woman was under arrest.
