ROUGE PARK (WWJ) – The D-town farm is the largest urban farm in Rouge Park. State Senator Joe Yun of Livingston County chairs the agricultural committee and describes this multi-acre working farm as eye-opening.

“The whole objective today is to educate us as a delegation and try to identify some barriers to business, maybe break down those barriers in the future,” said Yun.

Not only does this farm make positive use of the land, it provides fresh produce and even honey from the resident bee-keeping operation.

“So many areas of this operation that’s integral because you need those bees to pollinate the crops being grown,” added Yun.
