Police Find Man’s Body After Fight With Neighbor

EMMETT TWP. (WWJ/AP) – Police have found a man’s body in the backyard of his home in Calhoun County following a fight with a neighbor.

Emmett Township police say they were called to the home at 2:45 a.m. Saturday. Investigators say the man was apparently making noise and was confronted by a neighbor.

Police say the men got into a tussle, and the neighbor punched the victim in the face. They say the victim fell to the ground but appeared to be alive.

The victim’s wife eventually found her husband dead.

Township police say the suspect has been questioned and released.

The case is being investigated as a possible homicide while police await autopsy results.
