NOVI (WWJ) - If you've ever considered becoming a vegetarian, you might want to check out the annual VEG-Fest in Novi Sunday.
Native Detroiter & "raw chef to the stars", Jason Wrobel , is doing a cooking demonstration & he advises making gradual changes.
Veg-Fest also features many vegetarian restaurants, former Piston & NBA champ John Sally, and doctors. It runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Suburban Collection Showplace.
Admission is $10 for adults, five dollars for students, and it's free for children under 6.
"Instead of feeling that intimidation like , 'Oh my God , what, Do I have to scrap everything and start from scratch & ,& reinvent my whole life, it's maybe focusing on one of those aspects, so a lot of people now are doing like meatless Mondays.
So they're saying 'You know, I want to just maybe cut out meat one day and on Monday I'm gonna, you know, eat just vegetarian."
