ADA — Fulton Innovation, the creator and exclusive licensor of eCoupled intelligent wireless power, announced that it has been named as an award finalist by the internationally renowned 2012 Edison Awards.

Fulton’s eCoupled is a finalist in the Applied Technology category, one of 15 categories honored by the Edison Awards.

Fulton’s entry focused on its collaboration with Motorola Mobility to provide a wireless power option for the Droid 3 by Motorola, highlighting its convenience, ease-of-use, and ability to provide a truly wireless lifestyle to consumers.

“We are honored to receive this recognition from the prestigious Edison Awards,” said Dave Baarman, director of advanced technologies for Fulton Innovation. “Our work with Motorola, the Wireless Power Consortium, and our many partners enable us to bring advancements in wireless power directly to consumers to simplify their lives.”

The distinguished Edison Awards symbolize the persistence and excellence personified by Thomas Alva Edison, inspiring America’s drive to remain in the forefront of innovation, creativity, and ingenuity in the global economy.  The ballot of nominees is judged by more than 3,000 senior business executives and academics from across the nation whose votes acknowledge the finalists’ success in meeting the award criteria of concept, value, delivery, and impact. The panel includes members of the powerful Marketing Executives Networking Group, which has been partnered with the Edison Awards since 2009.
