DETROIT (CBS Detroit) Perhaps fans of the Queen of Soul said "A Little Prayer" --and it came true -- because legendary singer  Aretha Franklin is going to perform at 8 p.m. June 22 at the Fox Theatre in her Detroit hometown.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, May 4, at prices of $35.50, $45.50 and $75. They can be purchased at OlympiaEntertainment.com , The Fox Theatre and Joe Louis Arena box offices, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy (without service charge) at all Ticketmaster locations and Ticketmaster.com. Franklin's soulful,  soaring voice has brought her dozens of chart-topping records and classic hits including "Respect," "Chain Of Fools," "Think," "Daydreaming," and "Free Of Love."

Fans may also get another look at a young Franklin performing her heart out at a Baptist church in Detroit in front of Mick Jagger and some members of the Beatles. A tape of the memorable show is locked in litigation over ownership and royalties, and Franklin's attorney recently said the diva hopes it is released.

Franklin is the recipient of a 2005 Presidential Medal Of Freedom honor, 17 Grammy Awards, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and a Grammy Living Legend Award.

"Her ever-distinctive soulful, to-the-bone vocal style has graced the music charts for over four decades and while her 'live' performances have touched the hearts of literally millions since she began her musical journey as a gospel-singing child prodigy, it is her rich legacy of recordings that are a testament to the power, majesty and genius of this one-of-a-kind artist of the first order," Franklin's promoters said in a press release.
