Farmington Hills Bat Attack Victim Doing Better

FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) - The wife of a Farmington Hills man who police say was beaten to death by his 19-year-old son is making progress.

Hospital officials say Rose Cipriano, who was also beaten, has been upgraded to serious condition. Her 17-year-old son, Salvatore, is still critical. Both suffered head injuries in what police said was a baseball bat attack in their home nearly three weeks ago.

Police said Tucker Cipriano, who had been kicked out of the house, and his friend Mitchell Young had broken into the Cipriano family home looking for money on the night of the attack.

Both have been charged with first-degree premeditated murder and felony murder the case. Their next court date is May 23 in Oakland County Circuit Court.

Meantime, a Facebook page has been created by family and friends of the Cipriano family to update supporters on the conditions of Rose and Salvatore Cipriano and let the public leave messages of prayer and hope. (See the page here).

Rose Cipriano, whose maiden name was Trahan, is a native of  Bay City, Michigan.
