Tigers-Mariners Preview 5-7-12
(AP) -- Doug Fister's return to the mound for the Detroit Tigers comes at a place he should know very well.
The right-hander comes off the disabled list Monday night to make his first appearance in Seattle and against the Mariners since they traded him to the Tigers last summer.
Fister allowed three hits and struck out three in 3 2-3 innings April 7 against Boston before he left the game with a left side strain. Though the recovery has been longer than he expected, Fister is finally ready to return.
