Royal Oak Home Gets Fresh Look During Keller Williams' Nationwide Day Of Service

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - A Royal Oak couple's home has a new finish thanks to a local real estate agency. Several Keller Williams' offices took part in the nationwide day of service in the community.

"I would drive by and see the paint peeling off in chunks, it was heart wrenching," said Leslie Anderson a real estate agent with Keller Williams.

WWJ Newsradio 950's Violet Ikonomova reports that Anderson helped coordinate the annual service project for the Keller Williams' Nationwide day of service.

She and dozens of other staff members took part in the day of service volunteering locally at a Royal Oak home.

The volunteers repainted Phil and Renee Bradlin's Parent street home.

"Two days before Christmas in 2004 their home was destroyed by a fire. Dealing with this tragic and catastrophic loss, and the injuries and emotional scars was just the beginning for them. Just as they were trying to pick up the pieces - the entire country dropped into a huge recession," said Anderson.

Keller Williams branches in Northville and Troy also closed Thursday to lead volunteer efforts in those cities.
