SB I-75 Closed In Auburn Hills After Fuel Spill

AUBURN HILLS (WWJ) – The morning commute hit a snag in Auburn Hills along I-75 near M-59 Friday after a fuel spewed onto the freeway from an impaled semi-truck gas tank.

Police and fire crews are trying to clean up the diesel fuel spill after an accident involving the semi-truck. Police say the spill stretches for about a quarter-mile south of M-59.

All lanes on I-75 are closed and the ramps from M-59 to southbound I-75 are closed.

Backups are reported for about five miles to Joslyn Road.

There were no injuries reported in the accident.
