DALLAS (AP) – Heisman Trophy winner and BYU star Ty Detmer will be among the upcoming, 17-member class in the College Football Hall of Fame.

The 1990 Heisman Trophy winner was one of the most prolific passers in college football history, setting then-NCAA records with 15,031 yards passing and 121 touchdown passes.

Detmer played with the Detroit Lions for 2 seasons in a back up role, but did start 4 games for the Lions in 2001.
