Suspect Charged With Baseball Bat Killing Of Antique Store Owner

DETROIT (WWJ) - The man accused of killing the beloved owner of an antique shop inside his store was arraigned by video Sunday.

Rodney Bradley, 34, faces charges of first degree murder and larceny for allegedly killing 66-year-old Nathan Feingold with a baseball bat. A not guilty plea was entered on Bradley's behalf.

A close friend of the victim was at 36th District Court to show her support. She said she's worried Feingold's murder will take even more business from the city.

"What stores are gonna be left here in Detroit?" the woman said. "There's no way to protect yourself. They come in and they put a gun to your head, tell you to turn around and get on your knees, and then ... and then put a bat to your head."

Meantime, the accused suspect was remanded to jail without bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for May 24.
