Tigers’ Jackson Leaves Game With Abdominal Strain

DETROIT (AP) — Detroit center fielder Austin Jackson is day to day after leaving Wednesday night’s game against Minnesota with a mild abdominal strain.

Jackson departed after hitting a flyout to right in the fourth inning. He was replaced in the outfield by Don Kelly.

Jackson also had two hits, scored twice and drove in a run in the game. He’s hitting .331 with five home runs and has been one of Detroit’s most consistent producers.

He is by far Detroit’s best threat to steal, and his defense in Comerica Park’s spacious center field has been valuable to the Tigers.
