85-Year-Old Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Being Run Off The Road

ORION TWP., Mich. (WWJ) – An 85-year-old motorcyclist from Orion Township is hospitalized after he was hit while riding on M-59.

Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies say a 21-year-old driving a Ford Escape was changing lanes on eastbound Highland Road near Park Drive in Highland when he hit the biker on Sunday afternoon. The motorcyclist went off the road and into the LaFontaine car dealership where he hit three vehicles in the lot. He’s hospitalized in critical condition. He was wearing a helmet.
